Philipism #2

Ho-hoc: n. from "Phlinglish" meaning faux-hawk. Example. "Cun you make-a me a ho-hoc on my head, Mommy?"

Philipism #1

Puck-n or Poo-kin: n. from "Phlinglish" (English/Philip) meaning pumpkin. Example. "I going as a pookin for Ha-wa-ween."

Philip-A-Day

Each day, my son either says or does something that baffles me. This will be a daily entry.

"Wook, I show you dis, Mommy. He (meaning his sister) sits down when you do dis. Wook." Then he pushed her stomach really hard. She did indeed fold, plopping down on the floor. That is why God made her chunky. She's been brother-proofed.

Welcome... Kind of

Welcome to Drama Mamarama. Here, you will never be short of childish antics, tantrums, and surprises. And that has nothing to do with the daily drama from my children (insert rimshot here. Except I'm not kidding).

This wonderland is for those of you who share my suburban prison. For those who left their creative life on pause to raise children. Or rather to accept the challenge what truly being being creative on the spot means, how to encourage it, and how to realize your own dreams while fertilizing and encouraging theirs.

You are loved here. You are wished sleep and time to yourself here. I promise, I won't send you to time out...unless it means a cocktail and Jane Austen movie are involved.
